New York State Paid Family Leave (PFL) is an employee paid benefit providing job-protected, paid leave within any 52-week period to address family related issues. The program has been in effect since January 1 of this year, meaning that it’s time to look ahead at the changes in store for 2019.
PFL benefits — both duration and percentage — will rise as part of the four-year phase-in schedule, while the maximum contribution (PFL rate) is changing.
To help you get a grasp of how all these pieces are coming together and to prepare you and your business for 2019, ShelterPoint has put together a checklist that details just what you will need to know — and do!
